The first Russian school in Khiva
The first Russian school in Khiva was built in 1912 and became one of the first secular educational institutions in the city. The building stands out among the traditional oriental architecture with its European style and glass windows, which were very rare at that time.
The school consisted of eight spacious rooms where geography, history, mathematics and other subjects were taught. It symbolized the beginning of the era of modernization and cultural exchange, becoming an important milestone in the development of education in Khiva.
