Tashkent Metro
The Tashkent Metro is the only subway in Uzbekistan and the first in Central Asia. Its construction began in 1973, and the first line, Chilanzarskaya, was opened in 1977. Since then, the metro has become an important part of the city's transport infrastructure and the seventh metro in the USSR
