Tashkent TV Tower
The Tashkent TV Tower is the tallest building in Central Asia. Its total height is 375 meters. The construction of the TV tower began in 1979 and was completed in 1985. The unique design of the tower was developed by architects D.Y. Semashko, N.G. Terziev-Tsarukov, engineers E.P. Morozov, M. D. Musheev. The TV tower was built in such a way that its structure is able to withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of up to 9 on the Richter scale. The lattice frame of the tower ensures the stability of the building and at the same time gives the impression of lightness.
The 220-meter height is used to install satellite television, cellular, and paging communications. 5 television and 4 radio programs are broadcast from the Tashkent TV Tower. Tashkent TV Tower has the highest weather station.
The foyer of the tower is decorated with mosaic panels in Florentine and Roman style, which was created by the master A. Bukharbaev. The restaurant is located at an altitude of 105 meters. Each hall of which is designed for 60 seats. In two halls of the restaurant, a platform with seating rotates around the trunk of the tower. The restaurant prepares national and European dishes on request. The restaurant's bars offer a wide range of drinks. At an altitude of 100 meters, there is a circular observation deck for sightseeing tours of the city. The tower is equipped with 3 high-speed elevators from the Swiss company Schindler. The lifting speed of elevators is 4 meters per second.
