Gulkam Gorge (canyon) is located in the Ugam-Chatkal National Nature Park near the popular recreation area of Tashkent residents and guests of the capital, the Chimgan ski resort, just 85 km from Tashkent. This proximity allows you to change the hustle and bustle of the metropolis for the silence and comfort of the highlands in just an hour and a half.

The canyon is formed by the small Gulkam river, which "paved" its way through the mountain range to the Charvak reservoir. The canyon (gorges) stretches for km, sometimes narrowing to 5-6 meters in a stone bag, then widening to a wide valley, taking in several streams from the side slopes along the way. Of particular interest is the narrowest part of the canyon, ending with a 10-meter waterfall ledge. The waterfall is bypassed from the left along the course (rope insurance is recommended). This is followed by several more ledges. At low water, you can walk through the narrows without using a rope without getting your feet wet. In high-water years and in spring, the canyon is traversed on the left side using rope railings. The passage of this small 30-meter section is practically safe and allows anyone to feel like an explorer and a winner of the mountain element and will leave strong and pleasant memories. Further down the canyon, there are no more difficult places, and tourists enjoy an easy walk along the path that runs from shore to shore and admire nature, waterfalls, flowers, butterflies, grasshoppers, and bizarre rocks. You can swim in deep "baths".
