Golf Club on the Lakes
The Tashkent Golf Club was built in just two years with the participation of the North American company Olden Star Inc. In 1998, on the country's Independence Day (September 1), its grand opening took place. The creation of the club is a fruitful result of the great attention paid to the development of sports in the republic on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. And on May 14, 2006, the first Uzbek Golf Championship was held, in which over a hundred athletes from the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Canada, Malaysia, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Uzbekistan participated.
It takes only 20 minutes to drive from the center of the capital to the suburban resort area of Rohat, where the club is located.
Tashkent Golf Club offers an incomparable climate, clean air, magnificent views, and natural landscapes (rolling plains, fields intersected by rows of trees, lakes, and vegetation). The club's territory consists of 108 hectares, on which there are 18 holes on evergreen lawns, gentle hills, spreading tree crowns, lakes and waterfalls that serve as natural barriers to the game.
The length of the fields here is 7,015 yards, and such dimensions are able to challenge the most experienced players and allow beginners to hone their playing skills.
Despite the fact that the golf club in Tashkent is not many years old, and in general this sport is practically unknown to Uzbekistan, it still enjoys a good and growing popularity among fans of the game. Golf is especially popular among our South Korean guests, who prefer to come to our place for the weekend and play this game at our club, as in South Korea the prices for this type of activity are much higher and the queues are longer.
The natural and climatic conditions in Uzbekistan make it possible to keep a green lawn in perfect condition all year round. And for example, in Russia, where golf is currently no less popular than in Europe, severe frosts in winter and cold rainy days in autumn and spring make golf an exclusively seasonal game. Thus, Russian golf enthusiasts are also trying to come to Uzbekistan more and more often and play on Tashkent lawns.
In addition to numerous tourists who come to roll balls, many employees of embassies, foreign missions, companies and firms, and, of course, the business elite of the capital of Uzbekistan, are permanent members of the Tashkent Golf Club on the lakes.
The golf club in Tashkent is not only a competition venue for participants and playgrounds, it is also an extensive recreation area with a training ground, tennis court, swimming pool, sauna, guest villa, restaurant with excellent cuisine. For many enthusiasts of this aristocratic game, golf has become a way of life.
Visitors from abroad often come to Uzbekistan in order to combine a game of golf with a trip to the ancient cities of Uzbekistan, located on the Great Silk Road, which for many centuries connected East and West. Usually, tourists are first invited to experience the oriental fairy tale in Uzbek cities such as Shakhrisabz, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, and then visit the Tashkent Golf Club on the Lakes, a prestigious center of the most advanced "European" sport in the heart of Central Asia.
So, golf in general and in Tashkent in particular is not just about sport and skill, it is about culture and exquisite pleasure, the embodiment of prestige and the pursuit of excellence. And our company will be happy to help organize your vacation at the Tashkent Golf Club so that you will want to come to Tashkent to the lakes more than once and enjoy playing on the green lawns accompanied by metal clubs and white balls. Only we will be able to provide you with all the necessary amenities, take into account your preferences and create an individual recreation program that will meet only your tastes and wishes.
