Allakuli Khan Madrasah

The Allakuli Khan madrasah was built in the middle of the 19th century. It can be attributed to the best achievements of Khorezm architecture of the late Middle Ages. A large-scale and proportionally slender monumental monument has been created in traditional forms and compositions, the majolica decoration of the portal and side wings is elegant and strict.

The madrasah is named after the initiator of the construction, the ruler of Khiva, Allakuli Khan. There was a city library on the ground floor in several hujras, founded by Allakuli Khan. Once upon a time, the Allakuli Khan madrasah was one of the largest educational institutions in Khiva.

Currently, the Abu Ali ibn Sina Museum of the History of Medicine is located in the building of the Allakulikhan Madrasah.
