Mausoleum of Chupan Ata
On the outskirts of the city of Samarkand, on Kuhak hill, stands the mausoleum of Chupan Ata. Literally, its name translates as "Father of shepherds." The Zaravshan River flows nearby.
Walking through the streets of the city, where modern Uzbek families live today, you can go straight to the foot of the hill. The mausoleum is ancient, however, as in most architectural monuments of the country, restoration has been carried out here.
