Khoja Ilgor Mosque

The Khoja Ilgor Mosque was built on the territory of the historical site of Rishtan – the Sohibi Hidoya cemetery – in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in ancient traditions. It is quite small – 40x13 meters. The mosque is supported by three columns that frame a three-sided prayer area. In the center of the mosque there is a beautiful mihrab facing the Kaaba.

On the territory of the mosque there is an ancient korihona, a room for reciters of the Koran. It was built in the VIII-IX centuries for the Zoroastrians, but later converted to a Korikhona. Korikhona is a room with a pointed shape, the dome of which looks like the cap of one of the Central Asian tribes. Century-old plane trees (plane trees), willows and elms also grow near the mosque. Near the mosque there is a house, an artificial reservoir.
