Khanaka Kokildor Ota

Khanaka Kokildor-ota is distinguished by its architecture and unusual layout. It is a domed multi-room building, the front of which was finished with brick. During its construction, the idea of a three-tiered front open facade, which was used in the Sultan Saodat complex, was repeated. The building's plan was symmetrical. On the central axis there was a deep terrace with the main entrance and a large hall with a dome. Rooms were located on its sides, almost parallel - mirrored. A rectangular entrance led to the central hall, and side entrances led to adjoining rooms and corridors. The walls of the building were decorated with magnificent gancha patterns. There are tombstones in the inner hall of the building, the largest of which belongs to Saint Kokildor-ota.

The majestic portal of the building is more typical for the 15th century, i.e. for the Timurid era, than for the architecture of Maveranakhr in the 16th century. Researchers suggest that it was rebuilt during the Timurid era, possibly during the reconstruction of the Hakim al-Termezi and Sultan Saodat complexes. It should be noted that the Kokildor-Ota building is one of the most significant monuments in Termez.
