The unusual cultural and ethnographic performance "Moments of Eternity" at the Historical costume Theater will perfectly complement the sightseeing program in Samarkand. During the show, the artists demonstrate costumes from various historical eras of Uzbekistan from the Bronze Age to the present day.

There are also costumes of Saka masagetes, fire worshippers, Persian and Sogdian rulers and nobles. A large collection of colorful costumes from the Timurid era, as well as a collection of costumes from various regions of Uzbekistan.

The costumes were recreated as historically accurate as possible based on the collections of the world's leading museums, the Hermitage Museum, the Milan Museum of History, the British Historical Museum, the Royal Institute of Arts and History in Brussels, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, bas-reliefs and frescoes of Persepolis, Afrosiab, Penjikent, ancient miniatures of Behzod and historical chronicles of Shah Nam, Bobur Nam, Zafar-Name,. The costumes were made using coarse fabrics, hides, leather, silk, velvet, brocade, and handmade fabrics. Today, the theater has created about two hundred unique costumes.

The performance consists of eleven theatrical fragments-episodes. Fragments of various pieces of music are used as the musical background in the program. These include classical national music (nai, gijak, dutar and doira), a medley of oriental melodies performed by foreign performers and musicians of Uzbekistan. The current "sound effects" are also used - the sounds of nature, historical battles, the clash of swords, and even the trampling and wheezing of horses.

The theater is located in the center of Samarkand in a historic building and accommodates 90 spectators. There is a small but cozy teahouse at the theater, where you can take a break and drink tea with traditional sweets. You can also try on costumes at the theater and take pictures in them as a souvenir.
