Avesto Park Complex

This park is located near the Shavat Canal and bears the name of the ancient book Avesta, dedicated to the religious rules of Zoroastrianism. Scientists believe that it was written by Zarathustra in ancient Khorezm, presumably in the 9th-8th centuries BC. This is the only written cultural heritage of the Central Asian peoples that has come down from the depths of the centuries.

Despite its many advantages, the park complex is most interesting for two objects:

The monument to the book "Avesta" is 18 meters high. The monument was erected in the center of the park in 2001. It is timed to coincide with the 2700th anniversary of the book and is a composition of three granite arcs supporting a massive stone ring. In the middle, granite blocks symbolize the sacred symbol "fire", against which stands an enlarged stone copy of the book
"Avesta". Paved alleys equipped with fountains radiate from the monument. An outdoor amphitheater has been built in the eastern zone of the park, with a capacity of 2,500 seats. The facility has two floors.
The underground part is occupied by the Museum of Zoroastrianism, its collection is represented by 2 thousand exhibits. These are rare and unique original objects, dating back to the II-I centuries BC. The amphitheater itself is used for concerts, celebrations and other cultural events.
