Tudakul
Tudakul is a naturally formed reservoir in the Navoi region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The flood waters of the Zeravshan River began filling the Tudakul lowland in 1952.
In 1968, a dam was built to hold the waters of the new lake, as a result of which it became a reservoir. In addition to filling Zeravshan with excess water, it receives water from the Amu Darya through the canal. The area of Tudakul is 210 km2, the average depth is about 5 m. The parameters of the reservoir depend on the season and time of the year.
The lake is home to a significant number of fish, and commercial fishing is underway. The reservoir attracts birds, especially a lot of them during the migration period. There is a beach area with modern infrastructure and recreation facilities for enterprises on the shore.
