One of the most interesting architectural monuments of Ferghana is the building that formerly belonged to the boarding house of the Mariinsky Women's College. Built at the end of the 19th century (around 1877), it originally served as a parish school, and at the beginning of the 20th century, around 1901-1903, it was rebuilt and transformed into a girls' gymnasium with boarding school.

The building is located in the city center, between al-Ferghani and Margilansai streets, and today it houses the City House of Culture.

The architecture of the building reflects the features of urban development in Ferghana in the pre—revolutionary period. It is a brick building with a symmetrical facade, large windows, decorative cornices and niches, built in the traditions of Russian classicism with elements of local architecture.

After the revolution, the building continued to be used for educational purposes: until 1953, a girls' school operated here, and then the premises were transferred to the House of Culture. Despite numerous alterations and changes of functions, the building has retained its original appearance, proportions and architectural details, making it considered one of the best preserved architectural monuments of Ferghana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Today it is not only a cultural heritage site, but also an important landmark of the city, where concerts, exhibitions and social events continue to be held.
