Lake Badak
Lake Badak is a picturesque alpine lake located at an altitude of about 1,700 meters above sea level in the mountains of the western Tien Shan, on the territory of the Ugam-Chatkal National Park in the Tashkent region.
The lake has a length of about 1 kilometer and a width of up to 300 meters, and its depth reaches 20-23 meters. The water here is crystal clear and impresses with its iridescences: in the morning it appears green-turquoise, in the afternoon it is saturated blue, and at sunset it is silver—golden.
The shores of the lake are surrounded by majestic slopes covered with spruce and juniper forests. In summer, Alpine grasses bloom here, and the air is filled with the scent of pine needles and mountain flowers. Lake Badak has become a popular destination for hiking and outdoor recreation due to its silence, beauty and cleanliness.
You can reach the lake on foot along mountain trails passing through gorges and passes, which makes the trip to it especially picturesque and memorable.
