Babur House Museum

Babur Park in Andijan has a memorial on its territory (a symbolic tomb in which the earth from Agra and Kabul, the burial places of the commander, is walled up) and the museum of the great Zahiriddin Muhammad. The building is located on Bogishamol hill (where, according to the records of Babur-nam, a gazebo was built for recreation by order of the ruler himself). It was here that the poet came before leaving his homeland to admire his beloved city from the height of the hill.

The museum's fascinating exhibits tell about the life of a famous military leader and cultural figure. Rare manuscripts, books and other objects are on display here, which will lift the veil of the mystery of the great man's life. Museum visitors will find in the collection unique works by talented descendants of Babur, from the Mughal dynasty founded by him (for example, the daughters of Gulbadan begim). The exhibition with souvenirs, gifts, and diplomatic documents will tell about the connection with the Khans from Central Asia, which the ruler and his heirs tried to support in every possible way.

Modern interactive kiosks and whiteboards will tell little-known facts about the life of the famous ruler, and introduce you to some moments of literary creativity. Audio guided tours will help to recreate the atmosphere of that time, to hear some lines of the poet's works. New technologies will allow you to plunge into the world of Babur's lyrics, to feel his thoughts.

The famous Babur House Museum in Andijan is not only interesting for its exhibits. The exterior is decorated with traditional national patterns, decorated in white and blue colors. The small (at first glance) building attracts the eyes with its architecture, wide staircases to it, and a bronze monument to the majestic Tiger ("Babur" in translation). Exotic plants surrounding the area around the building create a special atmosphere at any time of the year. As the poet himself wrote in his immortal work “Babur-nameh", here you can retire, just think about a lot.

Babur Park in Andijan, with its museum house, as a cultural monument, should be visited not only by locals (from young to old), but also by numerous guests and tourists of the country. After all, getting to know its rich history and identity can tell you more about the local people, learn about their national traditions. Interesting exhibits collected not only on the territory of the Fergana Valley, but also in all places where the commander visited, will be able to create a picture of his life, everyday life, tell about historical moments, introduce the culture of the Baburids and the entire people. Babur's memory is unforgettable – his face rises from the pedestals of monuments above the cities of Uzbekistan, universities, parks and streets bear his name. Every year, on February 14, the Uzbek people pay tribute to the legacy and merits of Tamerlane's most gifted descendant!
