The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh

The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh is an Orthodox church in the city of Navoi in Uzbekistan. It is part of the Bukhara deanery of the Tashkent and Uzbekistan dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The decision to build the temple was made in 1991.

In 1991, the cornerstone was laid. For 3 years, the churches were built by parishioners Svetlana Geichenko, Rostislav Korneychuk, Vladimir Krupin and several conscripts. In 1996, the construction was transferred to NUS. In 2002, the church was consecrated by Metropolitan Vladimir.

The temple has an ornate iconostasis. There is a bell tower attached to the temple. The dome is unusual in that it has 5 tops. Regular worship services are held in the church.
