Central Asian Plov Centre
The Central Asian Plov Centre is an iconic place in Tashkent where you can taste one of the most famous dishes of Uzbek cuisine — pilaf. The establishment is located on Iftikhor Street, not far from the Tashkent TV Tower, which makes it convenient for both tourists and locals to visit.
The restaurant is famous for its huge cauldrons (cauldrons) in which pilaf is prepared. Master pilaf makers, known as "oshpaz", can prepare giant portions of pilaf, designed for more than 1,000 people at a time. The atmosphere of the establishment resembles a large dining room, where both tourists and locals gather, especially on weekends.
The Central Asian Plov Centre is not just a place to eat, but a real gastronomic attraction. Here you can see the process of cooking pilaf in huge cauldrons and enjoy its authentic taste. However, it is important to arrive early, as the pilaf may end by lunchtime (around 13:00-13:30) due to high demand.
