Kokand Airport

The airport was opened in 1977.

In the Uzbek SSR, the airport was used for short—haul transportation in the following directions: Kokand — Tashkent, Kokand — Namangan, Kokand — Fergana, Kokand — Leninabad (now Khujand), Kokand - Andijan.

Since 2000, it has been used as an airstrip for the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.

In March 2024, the reconstruction of the Kokand airport was completed. On the morning of March 20, he took the first technical flight from Tashkent, operated by an Airbus A320neo aircraft operated by Uzbekistan Airways. The aircraft, piloted by Amrillo Nutfullaev, Bektemir Gereev and Sergey Bykov, landed at the renovated Kokand Airport.

On March 22, 2024, the first demonstration passenger flight from the renovated airport was operated by Silk Avia Airlines on the Tashkent—Kokand—Tashkent route on an ATR 72-600 vessel.

On April 1, 2024, regular passenger flights Tashkent-Kokand-Tashkent began under the Silk Avia airline brand on Let L-410UVP-E20 aircraft owned by Uzbekistan Helicopters
